About NAN Newark Tech World
Our Mission & Vision
NAN Newark Tech World was created as a tech sector hub to train Newark residents for high-paying jobs in the information technology industry. NAN NewarkTech World has positioned itself as the go-to organization to aid in the preparation of hard-to-serve Newark residents in receiving the 21st century IT skills to secure jobs.
How We Approach
NAN Newark Tech World is a collaboration of various local stakeholders responding to the White House’s bold initiative and call to action to up-skill Americans and to rapidly train workers for a well-paying tech job, often in just a few months. In Partnership with Newark’s honorable Mayor Ras J. Baraka, NAN Newark Tech World, is also being launched to extend the current efforts of Mayor Baraka’s Office to empower Newark residents and meet the talent needs of local businesses. Employers across the United States are in critical need of talent with the requisite IT skills.

Integrate With Us
The future of jobs will lie heavily in this field and with a projected shortage of prepared workers, we know that many of the people who are not yet using broadband or using it in a limited capacity will be left out of the many opportunities that will exist.
National Action Network sees a chance to engage local leaders and communities to close the digital divide and bring access and opportunity to communities who are being left behind.
